How to Estimate the Quotient- Games With Math Facts- MATH4CHAMPIONS
How to estimate the quotient game is a super easy game that kids can play to enhance math skills. In this game, we will learn to estimate quotients which is the answer obtained when we divide a quantity by another. Let’s start to learn best math fact games to estimate the quotient.
The instructions are quite simple which include:
First of all, in this game on the top screen, some questions will appear. An answer will be given next to it as well which might be incorrect or even correct. Along with the equation, some balloons will also pop out that will have different math signs. There are three signs in total. One of them will be like a crocodile mouth pointing to the left and another pointing to the right. These signs are called ‘greater than’ and their logic is that if the right number is greater you will point the crocodile mouth to the right and if the left number is greater you will point the crocodile mouth to the left. The third symbol will be the equal to sign.
For example, if you get a question 1152 by 2, you have to quickly apply your math thinking and estimate what the answer might be. Next, you have to check that is the answer you get written next to the equation. If the answer you get is bigger than the answer appearing on the screen, you will choose the crocodile mouth sign pointing to the left. But if the answer appearing on the screen is greater than the answer you have estimated choose the greater than a sign pointing to the right. If the answer you get is exactly equal to the answer on the screen, choose the equals to sign.
If you give a wrong answer ‘incorrect’ will appear on the screen on the bottom and the game will get over. ‘Correct’ will appear if you choose the right sign and more questions will keep on appearing. Strengthening music is played at the back if you allow music to keep you focused. You will keep an earning score which is 1 for each question as you move along. The game is great and you will surely enjoy it!
