Solving of equations that involves one unknown is known as algebra. There are a lot of questions that kids can solve that involve unknowns. From our worksheets, there are a lot of different sets of questions that you can give to your kids from our algebra worksheets. Below are some of the different sets of questions available in the worksheet: Algebra equations with a single missing variable 1 and 2 – From this set of questions, kids will be allowed to solve the questions in order to find the unknown variable. This can be done by moving the unknown to one side and adding or subtracting the final equation. Algebraic expressions – This include sets of questions that are in words. These words will be resolved into plane equations. This can now be solved as an algebraic expression with an unknown. Equations with a define variable 1 and 2 – This involves having an unknown in an equation and this unknown will be defined from the beginning of the equations. Kids will be asked to substitute this unknown into the equations and they will be solved so easily. These unknown variables can be in the form of let y=1, let y=2 or even like let b=3. Inequalities addition, subtraction, multiplication and division – This involves the solving of equations that involve inequality signs and an unknown. These unknowns will be solved accordingly in relation to the signs present in each set of equation (like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). For the addition and subtraction, your kids can collect the like terms for easy solving. For the multiplication, you can divide both sides by the coefficient to get the value of the unknown. And lastly, for the division, your kids can just cross-multiply each and every question in the set of equations available to get the unknown in each equation. Mixed algebra test – This involves the combination of different sets of algebra equations. These equations include the presence of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. These sets of equations will also have word problems in algebraic equations. These word problems will be resolved first into plain equations before finding the unknown. Number problems in algebra – This involves the thinking ability of your kids. They will be able to relate the word problems with the respective numbers present in these equations. Pre-algebra equations (addition, division, multiplication, and subtraction) – this involves a set of equation that has one unknown and the moving of the unknown to one side. This will make the solving an easy one. You will make use of more than one sign in this type of equation.
