Will I regret homeschooling later on?

Homeschooling as a choice to educate the child should not be feared much but should be a decision that would emerge as a result of judging the positives and negatives present in the system. A recent survey has reported that there were a number of children who were having a home education than the combined strength of New York City public education system. So, this clearly speaks in favor of homeschooling as the number is more. Although the homeschooling is restricted in few of the countries it remains to lure many of the students and parents. Reportedly there have been cases that support both the sides of the homeschooling for its positive and negative effects.

Factors that compel a yes sound for Homeschooling

The support for homeschooling concept has been largely drawn out from those set of people who have had a bad experience with the typical public education system. Few felt that they had an intensive level of bullying from their peers which simply broke their self-confidence while others complained that the public education system was giving a lot of strain. Another class of arguments stands to be that a school with a classroom of strength over 30 is not much fruitful to uplift the education standards of their child as there would be a gap in the attention that a child might require for his/her own and the attention that could be given in a classroom environment. According to Rachael, homeschooling gave the opportunity for her parents to value about her education and thus, her parents made a constant effort in ensuring that she could acquire a greater depth on basic reading and writing and they have also made sure that she gets enough of extracurricular activities.

The reason why parents changed their agenda on homeschooling

The biggest complaint that most often heard from many of them is about the homeschooling induces negative effects on the child for a progress in socialization. These parents feel that homeschooling will not be sufficient to teach the kids about the values of a society and has very much the possibility to land the child into a frozen personality, thus making the child fear to move and respond freely with people in groups. Another reason that is put forward by them is that finding a particular time is very hard in order to educate their child. Those parents who have not undergone a proper education for themselves say that they can’t rely on the home tutors either apart from themselves. Thus parents lack self-confidence in their ability to teach themselves.

Is regret an unprecedented result for homeschooling?

There is a lot of stress that falls onto the parents as it becomes their responsibility to educate the child in every aspect that otherwise would have been taken care by different teachers if the same thing was a duty of a public education system.
